The Chapel of the Pala della Robbia , the second in the right aisle of the Basilica of San Bernardino in L’Aquila, suffered significant damage in the 2009 L’Aquila earthquake. The structural consolidation interventions involved most of the vertical surfaces on which cuci scuci interventions were carried out with recomposition of the masonry texture, as can be seen from the site photos the operations were limited to the repair of the lesions, for the original masonry apparatus did not undergo major interventions. The intervention carried out, in accordance with what was established in the design phase, aimed at restoring the conservative conditions necessary for the preservation of the artifacts and their conservation over time, arresting with the appropriate methodologies for material the phenomena of degradation in place.
