Castellina Museum – Norcia

The statue depicting St. Francis is a polychrome terracotta from the Renaissance period and Florentine culture. The work belonging to the Massenzi collection was donated to the Castellina Museum and with the current restoration was freed from the heavy repainting of an antiquarian restoration. The work thus shows its formal elegance and anatomical precision that bring it close to the best productions of the Florentine Renaissance.
